Forough
I wanted to write a poem for Forough
Knew it would not be published
Wanted to lie about her name
Knew you would not believe me
Believe me
How could I write
So that you would not censor it
Even silence is the stamp of our mouth
‘Believe’
It’s emblazoned on the billboards
You can sense Ferrough’s vacant space
And a few lines
Don’t you believe me?
So don’t publish me at all
